Board and Committees

Affordable Housing Advisory Committee 

Meets: Annually, as needed.

Resolution: Resolution R21-089 concerning the Affordable Housing Advisory Committee

The Committee recommends monetary and non-monetary incentives for affordable housing, in an effort to improve existing housing and provide new housing for very low, low, and moderate-income households.  The Committee reviews the established policies and procedures, ordinances, land development regulations, and the City’s adopted comprehensive plan and recommends specific actions or initiatives to encourage or facilitate affordable housing while protecting the ability of the property to appreciate in value.


Art Advisory Board 

Meets: 2nd Wednesday every month - 6:30 P.M

Develops plans and programs to promote and support art in public places. Recommends guidelines and funding for implementation. Members shall be residents or business owners, preferably artists, art volunteers/activists, planners, private developers, architects, neighborhood association members, and interested citizens. 


Building Board of Adjustment and Appeals

Hears appeals of decisions and interpretations of the Building Official and considers variances of the technical codes. Members shall have knowledge and experience in the technical codes to include an architect, engineer, general contractor, electrical contractor, HVAC contractor, plumbing contractor, and any other contractor licensed category. One alternative member may be a member at large from the public. 


Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board 

Meets: 3rd Wednesday every month - 6:00 P.M.
