Quiet Study Nooks Guidelines

  • Quiet Study Nooks are single person seating spaces.
  • Only adults over the age of 18 may be in the Quiet Study Nooks.
  • Food is not allowed. Beverages must be in covered containers
  • Quiet Study Nooks are first-come-first served, no registration necessary.  Wipes are available for individuals wishing to self-sanitize. 
  • In the Quiet Study Nooks, silence and courtesy are important. Please be considerate and respectful of others. Phone calls must be taken out of the library.
  • Nooks left unattended for more than 10 minutes will be considered abandoned and made available to others. Personal belongings will be relocated to Lost and Found located at the first floor information Desk.
  • Personal belongings and equipment should not be left unattended.  The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Quiet Study Nooks are not transferrable to other library users, they are first come-first-served.
  • Door is to remain open and lights on when the library is open. 
  • Quiet Study Nooks must be left in a clean and neat condition with nothing left on the tables.
  • Chairs may not be moved into the Quiet Study Nook room.
  • Quiet Study Nooks must be vacated 15 minutes prior to library closing.


Library Code of Conduct applies to all areas of the library.

Anyone who does not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave for the day.
