CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH 2026 MUNICIPAL ELECTION
The City of Boynton Beach will hold a General Election on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The following question shall be placed on the ballot for consideration by the qualified electors of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, at the March 2026 General Municipal Election in Palm Beach County, Florida. The election ballot question shall read as follows:
Shall the City Charter be amended to add a Preamble establishing the foundational purposes and principles of the City’s government, including protecting the general health, welfare, and safety of residents and promoting honest, efficient, and responsive government?

Shall the City Charter be amended to require that candidates have resided continuously within the City for at least two (2) years prior to filing for office?

Shall the City Charter be amended to: (1) modernize language by replacing outdated masculine-only pronouns; and (2) update notice and publication requirements to comply with current Florida law and include digital communication methods?

Notice is hereby given that the Palm Beach County Canvassing Board will meet on December 19, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at the Main Office of the Palm Beach County Supervisor of Election located at 4301 Cherry Road, West Palm Beach, FL 33409, to discuss the upcoming Uniform Municipal Elections.
This notice is provided pursuant to F.S. 102.141.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
The public may offer comments to the Canvassing Board at this meeting about all items on the agenda. The Chair shall have the discretion to set speaking time limits as he or she deems appropriate.
PROCEDURE:
Please complete a Comments by the Public Card and place it in the box labeled “Comments by the Public Cards” located at the designated entrance to the room, prior to the start of the public comment period (which is at the start of the meeting). Cards will not be accepted once the comment period has begun.
ADDRESSING THE CANVASSING BOARD:
When your name is called, please stand and state your name for the record.
DECORUM:
Any person making impertinent comments to the agenda or slanderous remarks or who becomes boisterous while addressing the Canvassing Board shall be barred from further audience before the Canvassing Board by the presiding Chair.
NOTE*: Persons are advised that if they wish to appeal any decision made at these meetings, they will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose they may need to hire a court reporter to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based, per Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes.
