Community Police Academy

This 9-week program, taught by police officers, aims to educate participants about police practices and the legal system as it pertains to police work. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of the police department through education and enhance community support of the officers.

Topics include:

• SWAT
• K-9
• Investigative Services
• Crime Scene Unit
• Traffic
• Community Policing
• Training / Recruiting Process

Some classes will include demonstrations by specialized units. Participants will also be able to ride along with officers.
