Roots & Rhythms Drum Exhibition & Workshop

Cost: $50 per class, including a box lunch

  • Session I (9:00am – 1:00pm) (Youth ages 6 – 12)
  • Session II (12:00pm – 4:00pm) (Teens ages 13 – 17)

A one-of-a-kind Roots & Rhythms Drum Exhibition & Workshop facilitated by 5-time Grammy nominated artist, Willie Stewart, an acclaimed former drummer with Third World.  All percussion instruments will be provided during the workshop.

(Max Capacity: 50 participants, per workshop)

The Shotokan Karate-Do program will help kids develop discipline, self-control, strength, flexibility, calmness, concentration, and will reduce negative or violent attitudes. Shotokan is a Japanese martial art. When kids learn this style, they learn how to DEFEND themselves. The practice of karate helps to improve speed, reaction time, striking ability, and awareness of an opponent.
