CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FISCAL YEAR 2026 ANNUAL ACTION PLAN

(October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027)

The City of Boynton Beach is an “entitlement” community eligible to receive assistance from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) programs. CDBG funds can be used for public services, affordable housing, public facilities and infrastructure improvements, and economic development. Projects must generally benefit low- and moderate-income persons, with at least 70% of funding benefitting households with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. The Annual Action Plan (AAP) will describe how the City’s annual allocation will be used to address the objectives and goals in the Consolidated Plan. The AAP will be submitted to receive HUD funds.

As mandated by the Federal regulations at 24 CFR Part 91, the City is starting a collaborative and community planning process. The City will be conducting open meetings, and a 30-day comment period to solicit input on housing and community development needs, priorities, and the use of program funds. Public input will be used to develop the Plan, and public comments are then incorporated into the AAP.   Persons living in Boynton Beach are encouraged to attend and participate in the meetings, review, comment on the draft of the AAP.

You are invited to attend the public participation meeting at City Hall – Community Room # 115 (100 E. Ocean Ave.) on Monday, March 2, 2026, beginning at 6:00 pm. If you need more information about the meeting please call RJ Ramirez, Community Improvement Division, Manager at 561-742 6359.

Individuals with disabilities requiring auxiliary aids or services to participate in the meetings effectively should contact the City by calling no later than three (3) days before the proceedings. Please call (561)742-6241 for assistance.
