[ARCHIVED] NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE/SINGLE SOURCE

FL Boynton Beach Logo

Sole/Single Source Number: UTL25-007 December 3, 2024

Commodity/Service: Flygt Genuine Pumps, Parts, and Accessories

Description: Flygt pumps are currently in use at various master lift stations throughout the City of Boynton Beach. These lift stations operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Due to the harsh environmental conditions at the lift stations, breakdowns are inevitable, and repairs or replacements must be conducted promptly to minimize downtime and ensure that equipment remains operational.

The use of pumps from other manufacturers would necessitate extensive modifications to the existing infrastructure, including piping, electrical systems, and railing systems, among others. Therefore, the only pumps that are compatible with the required application at our seven master lift stations are Flygt pumps.

Intended Sole Source: Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc.

Justification: Xylem Water Solutions USA, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of Flygt products and the only authorized service repair and warranty organization in the State of Florida; (East of the Apalachicola River).
