COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ANNUAL ACTION PLAN
PUBLIC NOTICECITY OF BOYNTON BEACHCOMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTANNUAL ACTION PLANFISCAL YEAR 2026 (October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027)30-day Comment Period – June 23 to July 24, 2026As an “entitlement” community, the City of Boynton Beach (City) receives an annual allocation of formula block grant funding of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As such, the City must develop an Annual Action Plan for the use of these funds annually.
For FY 2026, the City will receive $532,987.00 in CDBG funds. CDBG funds can be used to build stronger communities by providing decent housing, creating suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for people of low and moderate incomes.
The Plan will be submitted to HUD by August 15, 2026. The projected use of funds for FY 2026 is provided below. The Plan will be submitted to the City Commission for approval at the August 11, 2026, Special City Commission Meeting.
A draft copy of the City’s FY 2026 Annual Action Plan will be available to the public starting on June 23, 2026, until July 24, 2026, in the City’s Community Improvement Division and at the Boynton Beach Library at 100 E. Ocean Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33435, for a 30-day comment period. Persons wishing to comment on the plan may submit written comments no later than July 24, 2026, to:

PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE EAST OF I-95
As of 3 p.m. today, September 8, 2025, the City of Boynton Beach has lifted the precautionary boil water notice for all customers living east of I-95, including the Towns of Hypoluxo, Ocean Ridge and Briny Breezes. All required water quality testing has been completed with satisfactory results. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our utilities staff worked tirelessly throughout the weekend to repair the main break, restore the system and complete the testing needed to ensure the highest standards of public health and safety.

CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH UTILITIES ISSUES PRECAUTIONARYBOIL WATER NOTICE EAST OF I-95 FOLLOWING PIPE BREAKCity of Boynton Beach utilities is issuing a precautionary boil water notice for customers in utilities service areas east of I-95. Early Saturday morning, a pipe broke as a contractor was working at the East Water Treatment Plant. This caused a temporary drop in water pressure for customers using City of Boynton Beach utility services on the east side of I-95 including Hypoluxo, Briny Breezes and Ocean Ridge.Although pressure was restored, out of an abundance of caution, the City of Boynton Beach is issuing this precautionary boil water notice. City crews will be collecting bacteriological samples from affected areas.The City of Boynton Beach is working closely with the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) to monitor the situation and will lift the boil water notice as soon as it's safe to do so. As a precaution, the utilities department recommends boiling all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient and bottled water may be used as an alternative. For updates, please visit the City of Boynton Beach's website.
