As an “entitlement” community, the City of Boynton Beach (City) receives an annual allocation of formula block grant funding of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). As such, the City must develop an Annual Action Plan for the use of these funds annually.
For FY 2026, the City will receive $532,987.00 in CDBG funds. CDBG funds can be used to build stronger communities by providing decent housing, creating suitable living environments, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for people of low and moderate incomes.
The Plan will be submitted to HUD by August 15, 2026. The projected use of funds for FY 2026 is provided below. The Plan will be submitted to the City Commission for approval at the August 11, 2026, Special City Commission Meeting.
