The Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Department will partner with Aleeh’s Lemonade Stand, Community Foundation, First Impressions Preschool, J & R Funding and Pathways to Prosperity to distribute 1,000 turkeys along with all of the fixings needed to make a complete Thanksgiving meals beginning at 10 a.m. Nov. 23 at the Ezell Hester Jr. Community Center, 1901 N. Seacrest Blvd in Boynton Beach.
BBFR began collecting non-perishable food items at the beginning of November at all five fire stations, ending the collection with a Fill the Fire Truck Food Drive on Saturday, November 16. To support and promote household safety during the holiday season, BBFR’s Division of Fire & Life Safety will provide free smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers to attendees.
For the safety and convenience of attendees participating, this will be a drive-through distribution. Attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles while volunteers place the items directly in their trunks or backseats. No registration is required. Items will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis, while supplies last.
Thank you to our partners at J & R Funding and First Impressions Preschool for donating the turkeys.
