Those willing to give input are invited to attend a virtual meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 19. City commissioners will be present to listen to the comments, concerns and suggestions of participants. Commissioners and city officials will be listening only and will not be responding to any input. This is the last in a series of public meetings.
“Participation from our residents is a crucial step in creating a successful strategic plan,” City Manager Dan Dugger said. “We are asking them to help shape the future of Boynton Beach.”
Strategic planning is a process used to identify the city’s goals, the strategies necessary to accomplish those goals and identify the measures to evaluate progress toward the goals. After the meeting takes place, the commission will have the opportunity to make changes before the plan is added to the September 3rd commission meeting for approval. The strategic plan will remain in place for five years with annual reviews to make necessary changes.
