[ARCHIVED] City to Host Earth Day Celebration in Downtown Boynton

This free, family-friendly event will offer various activities for the entire family, including face painting, games, a bounce house, DJ and more. 

Community Greening will host a free, walk-up tree giveaway at the event. Boynton Beach residents can choose from Barbados cherry, mulberry soursop, tamarind, gumbo limbo, mahogany or paradise trees. Households are limited to two trees and must provide proof of residency. Trees are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge, Audubon Everglades, Boynton Beach Garden Club, Citizens Climate Lobby, Girl Scout Troop #24514, Nancy Whitney-Conway, Schoolhouse Children’s Museum, Sea of Possibilities, Sea Turtle Adventures, Seafrond Art, Sierra Club Loxahatchee Group, Simplee Bee Sacred, and Surfrider Foundation. The following city departments will be on-site, Boynton City Library, Recreation and Parks, Office of Sustainability and Resiliency and the Utilities Department. Be sure to come hungry. Kona Ice, The Picnic and Brunch N’ Roll food truck will have icees, tacos, paninis and more available for purchase.

Free parking is available on the corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Seacrest Boulevard (entrance is located off Boynton Beach Boulevard.) Rideshare is encouraged.  For the safety of attendees and vendors, the following roads will be closed: East Ocean Avenue from Seacrest Boulevard to South East 1st Street and South East 1st Avenue from Seacrest Boulevard to South East 1st Street.
