The First Annual Ottis “OJ” Anderson Scholarship Golf Tournament will tee off on Saturday, August 19 at the Links at Boynton Beach (8020 Jog Rd.) Championship Golf Course beginning at 8:30 am. The goal of the tournament is to raise money to fund scholarships for local well deserving children through the OJ Anderson Scholarship Foundation.
OJ Anderson, born and raised in West Palm Beach, is a former Running Back who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 14 seasons on the New York Giants and St. Louis Cardinals. In addition, Anderson is the Superbowl VVX MVP. Now his goal is to provide financial assistance to local students who show a genuine desire to succeed in any educational path they choose.
“We are thrilled to host this tournament at the Links at Boynton Beach.” said Bo Preston, Golf Course Manager, “through this program our local youth are provided an opportunity to strive academically and personally through mentorship.”
