The Boynton Beach City Library will provide local youth the opportunity to meet community heroes and interact with their vehicles and special equipment at a Touch-A-Truck event on Thurs., August 3 beginning at 4:00 pm at Centennial Park (120 E. Ocean Ave) in Downtown Boynton.

This event will kick-off the Library’s Community Heroes Program and provide an exciting way for the community to learn more about various City Departments and how they help make the community a better place.

“We are excited to have the Post Office and various City Departments all present to provide diverse and comprehensive insight into what they do to keep the community running smoothly,” said Craig Clark, Library Director. “It will undoubtedly foster a stronger connection between the community and its heroes while showcasing the vital work they do.”

The Boynton Beach Police Department will have their one-of-a-kind video game hummer on-site. In addition, fresh popcorn and snow cones will be available.

The summer reading program is sponsored by Friends of the Boynton Beach City Library, showcasing their commitment to supporting literacy initiatives and the community. For more information, visit boyntonlibrary.org.
