The City of Boynton Beach hereby announces the availability of $622,748.00 in State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) funds Program $467,061.00 will be allocated toward Housing Rehabilitation Programs, $93,413.00 will be allocated toward Purchase Assistance Program and/or Rapid Re-Housing Program and $62,274.00 will be allocated toward Planning and Administration. This program was created as an incentive to assist the very-low to moderate-income with housing strategies including; home purchase assistance, home repairs and rapid re-housing. APPLICATIONS FOR THE HOUSING REHABILITATION PROGRAMS, PURCHASE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM AND RAPID RE-HOUSING PROGRAM WILL BE ACCEPTED STARTING ON JULY 15, 2024. APPLICATIONS FOR EACH PROGRAM WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE FUNDS ARE ENCUMBERED FOR EACH PROGRAM.
Under program guidelines, applicants must be income eligible for the programs; Rapid Re-Housing Program applicants must be Very-Low-Income; Purchase Assistance Program and Rehabilitation Programs applicants must be Very-Low-Income, or Low-Income, or Moderate-Income. The income limits for household eligibility are as follows:
