This free, family-friendly event will offer various activities for the entire family, including face painting, bounce houses, a photo booth and more.
Cover to Cover Band will take the stage from 1 to 3 p.m. and Samantha Russell Band from 4 to 6 p.m. PGA Hope, a free, six-week, adaptive national golf program for veterans, will sponsor a putting contest. Be sure to come hungry. The Links Grill, Babci’s Kitchen, Chicago Me Up, Gimme Grillin, Kettle Girl Popcorn, Penguin ParadICE and Tina’s Treats will have Italian sandwiches, picanha with tostones, frozen desserts and more available for purchase. Cash bars will be available. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets but please leave coolers at home.
The Links, which opened 40 years ago in 1984, will offer a reduced 18-hole game rate of $40 on Saturday, and golfers can play all rounds on the challenge course for $19.84. The driving range will close at 12 p.m. on Saturday for set-up of the event. The golf course will be closed for the free public event all day Sunday and will re-open on Monday.
The Links golf course is a complete golf facility featuring an 18-hole par 71 championship course, a 9-hole par 30 executive length challenge course and a complete practice area with a grass tee driving range and free putting and chipping greens.
