In recognition of Bike Safety Month (May), the Recreation and Parks Department will be teaming up with the Boynton Beach Police Department to offer a very special activity for children (ages 6-12), where they will learn:
- The importance of hand signals when turning
- The importance of wearing a protective helmet
- The rules of the road
Kids will also have the opportunity to navigate a skills course, which will help to develop the habit of using their brakes when coming to a stop.
The program is free of charge. Children should be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and furnish their own bikes to participate.
Soft drinks will be provided for all kids participating in the program.
Parents may call ahead of time to register and can also sign up on the day of the activity. Registration opens at 8:30AM.
