What is Adopt-A-Park?

The purpose of this program is to enlist the community's involvement with selectve maintenance within a park in order to maintain a clean park environment for all to enjoy.

Tasks may include trash pickup, graffitti reporting, weeding/raking playgrounds, sweeping shelters, cleaning picnic tables, mulching trees/shrubs, and reporting vandalism.

Adopters can also help with special projects, such as graffitti cover‐up and painting and planting flowers. Some projects and tasks are not available year‐round and may be available only at specific parks.

Civic groups, businesses and volunteers may apply to adopt a park.  A minimum one‐year commitment is required. Requests to adopt specific parks are processed on a first‐come, first‐served basis.  All contracts will be renewed December 31st each year.

When children participate, the adopter will have emergency contact information accessible at the site. There must also be one adult supervisor for every five children.

A representative from the adopting organization must pick up bags and gloves Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at least 24 hours prior to the clean-up. Pick-up of these items will be at City Hall, 100 E. Ocean Ave., Boynton Beach, 33435.
