Recreation and Parks Department Vision
Our vision is to be a leading and well-respected, nationally accredited agency providing exceptional, widely accessible facilities and services that meet the needs and contribute to the health and well-being of the community while preserving its history and embracing its future.
The City operates seven recreation centers, 32 parks, one swimming pool, the municipal beach, and hundreds of youth, adult and senior programs. Professional, dedicated staff members, along with the assistance of valuable volunteers, manage the year-round recreation programs and activities and maintain parks and open spaces for the enjoyment of people of all ages and abilities.
