2022 Holiday Parade

Join us for the City's 51st Annual Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 3, 2022 beginning at 4:00 pm in Downtown Boynton.  The parade will take place on Federal Highway between SE 5th Ave. (start) and NE 1st Ave (end).  It is expected to last about two hours.  Bring a chair, but please leave pets at home!  Interested in participating?

Free Parking will be available at the following locations, on a first come, first served basis - come early! For accessible parking, enter SE 4th St. off of E. Boynton Beach Blvd. Parking attendants will be on hand to assist.

  • Journey Church (715 S. Federal Highway) 
  • Town Square Parking Lot (behind the Boynton Beach Arts & Cultural Center). Enter off Boynton Beach Blvd. just east of Seacrest Blvd. 
  • Boynton Beach Senior Center (1021 Federal Hwy.) 

Road Closure Notice:

For the safety of parade participants, vendors, and attendees, the following roads will be closed on Sat., Dec. 3 from 12 pm – 9 pm to accommodate the Holiday Parade: 

  • South Federal Highway, between Boynton Beach Blvd. and Woolbright Rd.
  • All avenues between SE 1st St. east to SE 1st Ave.

    In order to provide a high quality, entertaining parade for all ages, accepted entries must adhere to the following rules and regulations and may be asked to leave if not followed:

    • Culturally diverse holiday music from around the world is strongly encouraged. 
    • All mobile entries, including cars and trucks towing floats, must be completely decorated.
    • We have connections to the North Pole and Santa has promised an early visit to Downtown Boynton. He will make an appearance at the end of the parade to wish all the good boys' and girls’ magical holidays (i.e. no Santas)!
    • This is a family event. Inappropriate performances and attire are prohibited.
    • Entries may be permitted to perform while walking the parade route IF the noise does not interfere with surrounding entries (TBD by Parade Committee).
    • Entries will be permitted to perform for no more than ONE MINUTE at the Judging area. To maintain the flow of the parade, those entries exceeding the permitted performance time, may be asked to stop performing and move forward. 
    • Drivers of any vehicle will be required to provide proof of license and insurance.
    • To maintain a family-friendly and safe event, entries are prohibited to:

         - throw and/or distribute candy
        - distribute any items such as flyers, pamphlets, tickets, etc.
        - consume alcohol in the line-up areas or on the parade route 
        - have pets

    •  Participants must agree to these rules and regulations in order to participate.

     Winners will be announced the week after the parade.

    Nominate a Grand Marshal for the City's 51st Annual Holiday Parade 
         Nomination Dates: Nov. 1 - Nov. 11 at 12 pm
    Vote for a Grand Marshal 
         Voting Dates: Nov. 15- Nov. 22 at 12 pm
    Cheer on the Grand Marshal at the Holiday Parade (Dec. 3 from 4 pm - 6 pm)

    Do you know someone who has made a positive impact in Boynton Beach? We are asking the community to nominate a local "hero" (any age) who lives or works in  Boynton Beach City limits  and has, in their own way, helped make Boynton Beach a better place. Examples include:

    •   A neighbor who has delivered food to someone who is sick.
    •   A caretaker who selflessly puts another individual's needs ahead of their own. 
    •   A teacher who has gone the extra mile to help a student.
    •   A health professional who has worked tirelessly to care for patients.
    •   A volunteer who has donated countless hours to making a difference for a meaningful cause. 
    •   A child who has helped a family member at home. 

    Nominate a Grand Marshal -  DEADLINE HAS PASSED.

    Once all nominations have been received, we will ask the community to vote for their favorite nominee on the City's Facebook page. For those seeking to vote via a paper ballot, please email marketing@bbfl.us or call 561-742-6010 to obtain a ballot.

    The nominee with the most votes will be selected as the parade’s Grand Marshal. Runners-up will also have an opportunity to be included in the Holiday Parade. Nominees should expect to hear from the City by November 30.  Questions? 561-742-6010.
