Students Celebrate Arbor Day with City Staff

Eighth grade students from Boynton Beach’s St. Joseph’s Episcopal School will assist City of Boynton Beach staff in the planting of 15 slash pine trees at Barrier Free park to celebrate Arbor Day.

Immediately prior to planting the pines, the students will learn the importance of planting and caring for trees as they watch City staff plant a flowering tree, generously donated by the Boynton Beach Garden Club.

This is the 35th year the City of Boynton Beach has celebrated Arbor Day, an important component of maintaining the Tree City USA status.
