On Friday, Oct. 15, beginning at 6:30 pm, the City will host Friday Flicks, a free outdoor movie at Centennial Park in Downtown Boynton. The featured film, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, starring Johnny Depp, will be shown on a large screen under the City’s historic Banyan tree. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets.
Come hungry, as a variety of food trucks will be on site, offering up a delicious range of fare such as burgers, hot dogs, mac and cheese, lobster macaroni bites, coconut shrimp, chicken wings, oxtail, soft pretzels, dessert bites, ice cream, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, root beer, orange floats, Oreo mousse cake, popcorn and lemonade. Adult beverages available.
Children’s activities will be offered before the movie begins, including “Pirates’ University,” a place where children can make their own horn book, design and color their own pirate flag and more. In addition, children can receive glitter tattoos and search for gold coins and gems located under the Banyan tree.
DRESS LIKE A PIRATE! Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress like a pirate for a chance to win. The audience will choose the best dressed adult and child. The adult winner will receive a voyage for two from our local sponsor Sea Mist III. The best dressed child will receive a bag of treasures.
