Color Effects with artist Cecilia Lueza, a year-long exhibit featuring five colorful geometric sculptures that capture the dynamic effects of nature and resilience of the community, will open October 15 surrounding the Avenue of the Arts in downtown Boynton.
Cecilia’s work is a personal expression of her lifelong fascination with the visual effects of color, light, shadow, negative spaces, and the concepts of space, movement, and transition. Utilizing her expressionistic style, she incorporates the recurrent and unrestrained application of the degraded primary colors that make up her palette. Her designs act to promote community values, enhance our environment, transform the landscape, increase our awareness and question our assumptions.
Beginning October 15, 2019, these large-scale sculptures will be integrated into the urban landscapes of downtown Boynton Beach, bringing inspiration to residents businesses and visitors.
Free docent-led tours of the five sculptures include an Otocast app that connects the artist to the viewer. Following the tour, free local business discounts and special deals will be given to tour attendees. Color Effects print brochures are available in local businesses, the City Library and City Hall.
