City Receives $5,000 USA Swimming Foundation Grant

The City  received a $5,000 Make a Splash grant from the USA Swimming Foundation. The grant will be utilized to provide free children’s swim lessons at the City’s municipal pool, John H. Denson Pool, located at 225 NW 12th Ave.  “We consider teaching swimming as one of our most important recreation programs offered by the Recreation and Parks Department. This grant will provide over 100 children free swim lessons,” stated Director Wally Majors.
Families may register their children for the free “Learn to Swim” lesson series at John H. Denson Pool; the only requirement is that the child attend all 8 classes. Classes are offered for children ages 6 months to 6 years and are held on both weekdays and weekends. For more information, please call 561-742-6645.
