We're excited to announce that the City will receive $1,025,000 in direct federal funding via the Federal Fiscal Year 2023 spending bill. This funding request was made by Rep. Lois Frankel after a series of community input meetings. We would like to acknowledge our City Commission for their support in championing this cause.
These funds will be utilized to replace a 35-year-old 32-ft. self-supporting radio tower and control sheds at 551 NW 15th Ave. Replacing the radio tower is paramount to maintaining our public safety communications network for the city of over 80,000 residents.
