City Celebrates Dog Park Expansion

Calling all dogs! The City of Boynton Beach is ready to welcome you and your owners to the newly upgraded and expanded Officer Joseph Crowder Dog park (800 Renaissance Commons Boulevard) for a “Yappy Happy Hour” on Friday, May 10 from 5 - 7 pm. The Yappy Happy Hour will include yapatizers, drinks, music, raffle prizes, a balloon artist, and photo opportunities. The first 100 furry guests will receive a complimentary doggy bandana, tasty treats from Natural Dog Treats and Bakery, and a voucher for a free sandwich from Mission BBQ.

The park is named in memory of Officer Joseph Crowder, a 14-year veteran of the Boynton Beach Police Department who died in December 2016.  JKM Services, the master developer of neighboring Boynton Village and Town Center, built the original dog park and recently completed the expansion to include:

•    An additional dog-fenced area for larger dogs
•    A 12’ x 24’ pavilion, with shaded seating, in each dog park
•    Exercise equipment for dogs in each park
•    12’ x 24’ pavilion with picnic tables in the open green space
•    Benches throughout the open green area
•    Second parking lot
•    Fishing pier

The Yappy Happy Hour is FREE! For more information, call at 561-742-6010.
