Welcome! We offer several ways in which you can get involved:
The Quilters is a library-sponsored group designed to share quilting information and education, perpetuate quilting as a cultural and artistic form, provide a social group with similar interests, and promote and support the Boynton Beach City Library.
The Quilters meet weekly (except for holidays) on Thursdays from 9a-12p at the Boynton Beach City Library. Open to the Public. $1 Lifetime Membership fee.
New members will be given an orientation with a series of beginners exercises to ensure uniform methods are used on group projects. The new member is then assigned to various group projects. Instruction, guidance, and encouragement are readily available. It is our goal that projects made by the Quilters be of high quality. All instruction is given by volunteers. Any materials donated to or acquired by the Library for use by the Quilters must not be put to personal use.
Welcome and happy quilting!
Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Boynton Beach City Library is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to promoting the Library to ensure that all City residents have a Lifelong Learning Center...your Library.
Devoted, civic-minded individuals generously volunteer their talents, time and influence to promote, improve and expand our Library services. Members volunteer their time to support many Library functions and sponsor various activities and fundraising events such as the adult reading club and youth, teen and family programs.
You can help by making a donation to the Friends in honor or memory of someone. The Library will select materials and a commemorative bookplate will be placed in each item. Another option is to start an endowment as a gift in perpetuity.
Planned gifts as part of your estate planning are most welcomed. More information is available at the Boynton Beach City Library Friends Bookstore, located at the Library's main entrance. Become a Friends Volunteer! Join the next time you are in the Library.
