COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
Historical Note: Ella Harper (1896-1984) was born in Brevard County, Florida, and moved to Boynton Beach in 1901 with her parents, Franklin Pierce Harper (1853-1920) and Sophronia Taylor Harper (1857-1930) and nine sisters and one brother. She was the first Boynton student to graduate high school at a West Palm Beach High School in 1914. She married Oather Earl Messer in 1918 and moved to West Palm in 1919 and raised seven children.
Scope and Content Note: Family photographs taken in the Boynton Beach area, chiefly circa 1915-1918. Includes group portraits and candids of friends and family in early Boynton Beach, Florida.
