Historical note: James Hartley Nichols (1948-1998) graduated Seacrest High in 1963, and later earned a Master’s degree in history from FAU. In the early 1980s, Nichols was a historical researcher for the Boynton Beach City Library and the author of a series of “Sunday Brown Wrapper” articles featuring local history topics from c. 1980-1983. He was also a serious photographer.
