Custodial History: Records chiefly found in collection, c. 2017, including Ameron 1903 ledger noted as donated by Richard Monahan. Post box doors donated to the Boynton Cultural Centre by Delray Beach Historical Society (2018.024), transferred 3/27/2018.

COLLECTION DESCRIPTION
Historical Note: The post office in Ameron, postmaster Freeman Griffith, was established in 24 Aug 1900 and discontinued in 3 Sep 1903, with mail posted to Boynton Beach. Richard Monahan was postmaster starting in 1962.
Scope and Content Note: Chiefly ledgers recording stamp sales, box rentals. Also a small amount of customer copies of materials.
