Experience the interactive Boynton Beach Kinetic Art Biennial of 12 sculptures
July 18th, 10-11: 30 am
Take a short walking tour of the 4th Outdoor Kinetic Art Biennial and discover Art that Moves and Art that Moves You. Technology collides with art in this exhibit where each kinetic moves and is enhanced by an interactive downloadable application experience. The Augmented Reality App connects viewers to kinetic artists who appear before them telling stories about their artworks. For the Otocast App, each kinetic artist describes their artwork in greater detail.
We will meet at Dewey Park located at 100 NE 4th Street at “Let LOVE Guide Your Way,” a large red kinetic weathervane along E. Ocean Ave. You will also meet artist Peter Pereira, who co-created the Augmented Reality app at his “Kinetic Solenoid,” custom augmented tree wrapped installation at the end of the tour.
Each app offers different experiences. By integrating them together with a docent-led tour, you will have a truly dynamic experience.
Souvenir Brochures to complement the tour will be handed out the day of the event. They will also be available at the Boynton Beach Library, located a short distance away if you wish to take the tour on your own.
