Study Room & Cubicle Policy
- There are two types of quiet study spaces: Study rooms and cubicles. Rooms accommodate single groups of up to 4 people. Cubicles are single-person seating spaces.
- All Rooms and cubicle seating are first-come-first-served, no registration necessary. Wipes are available for individuals wishing to self-sanitize.
- These are quiet study areas where silence and courtesy are important. Please be considerate and respectful of others.
- Only adults over the age of 18 may be in any of the study rooms or cubicles.
- No advance booking is available at this time.
- Study rooms left unattended for more than 10 minutes will be considered abandoned and made available to others; belongings left in the room will be removed to the Lost and Found area and will only be kept for a limited time.
- Anyone needing to use the restrooms must stop by the Research Desk and ask for the study room to be locked. The room will be unlocked upon return, no more than 10 minutes later.
- Anyone who leaves without informing the Research Desk forfeits the study room.
- Personal belongings and equipment should not be left unattended. The Library is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- Study spaces are not transferrable to other library users; they are first-come-first-served.
- Please be aware that the study rooms are not soundproof; discussions should take place at a volume that will not disturb others.
- Please use the doorstop to leave the door open when finished with the study room so others can use it.
- The study rooms and cubicles must be left in a clean and neat condition with nothing left on the tables.
- Beverages must be in covered containers. Food is not allowed.
- Tables and chairs may not be moved in or out of the study rooms.
- Rooms must be vacated 15 minutes prior to library closing.
- Anyone who does not follow these guidelines may be asked to leave for the day.
