| Electronics Recycling Event
Electronic devices contain toxic material like lead, cadmium, and beryllium that don't belong in the landfill.
Congress gave your analog television a reprieve, but not the other old, outdated electronics that you were thinking of getting rid of anyway. Beginning Monday, February 16th through Saturday, February 28th, residents can place the following electronics at curbside for recycling, including televisions:
- Televisions
- VCRs
- Personal Computers
- Computer Monitors
- Printers
- Cell Phones
These items will be picked up on your regular bulk trash collection day and must be placed separate from other bulk trash/vegetation. These items will be collected and taken to the Solid Waste Authority to be processed and recycled. There is no additional cost for this service.
For Boynton Beach residents who miss the deadline or are interested in disposing of the electronic equipment themselves, the items listed above can be taken directly to the Lantana Transfer Station, 1810 Lantana Road (at I-95) for disposal. There is no charge for this service.
If you have any questions regarding the Electronic Recycling, please call the Public Works Department at 742-6200, Monday through Friday from 7:30 am – 4:30 pm.
