Item Donations For Haiti Relief
Given the events of recent days with the catastrophe occurring in Haiti, the City of Boynton Beach, in conjunction with Boynton Beach Fire Rescue and the Palm Beach County Haiti Relief, will be collecting donated items from concerned residents at Boynton Beach Fire Rescue Stations #4 & #5 until further notice.
These are the only approved collection points at Boynton Beach City Facilities.
Palm Beach County Haiti Relief is a nonprofit agency in Riviera Beach that is partnering with St Thomas University Human Rights Institute. Palm Beach State College (formerly PBCC) will consolidate the goods from each station and deliver the goods to the Port of Palm Beach for shipment to Haiti. The Port of Palm Beach has provided approximately 40,000 square feet of warehouse space for storage The Drop Off program will last for 30 days.

Fire Station # 5: 2080 High Ridge Road, Boynton Beach (SE corner of High Ridge Rd. & Gateway Blvd.)
Listed below are some general guidelines for donations, the most desired food items, and some suggestions for donated items.
General Guidelines for Donations:
- Non-perishable (not frozen or refrigerated), sealed, unexpired food
- Unopened toiletries: Diapers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap shampoo, shaving cream, disposable razors, etc. These items are to be kept separate from any food donation.
Prefer non-glass containers for safety transport and handling.
Most Desired Food Items:
- Dairy: Milk – dried, evaporated and boxed (such as Parmalat)
- Protein: Beef Stew, nuts, peanut butter, beans and peas (dried or canned), chili, tuna fish, chicken, salmon (canned)
- Vegetables: Tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, spaghetti sauce, vegetables (canned) tomato juice.
- Fruit: Raisins and other dried fruit, applesauce, and any canned fruit in its own juice.
- Grains: Crackers, oatmeal, whole grain rice, all types of pasta, ready to eat low sugar/high fiber cereal (Cheerios, Raisin Bran, etc.)
Suggested donation items:
- Canned foods (with flip top lids)
- Bottled Water
- Condensed, Evaporated and Powdered Milk
- Rice (10-20 lb bags)
- Beans (10-20 lb bags)
- Canned Pasta Meals
- Garbage Liners
- Peanut Butter
- Batteries
- Flashlights
- Matches
- Antibiotic Ointment
- Gauze Bandages
- Medical tape
- Feminine Hygiene products
- Diapers & wipes
- Personal Hygiene kits (1 gallon ziplock bags) – some items that can be included are bar soap, toothbrush/paste, band-aids, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, shampoo, disposable razors, shaving cream, etc.
