Steven Holzman was sworn in as District 3 Commissioner on March 16, 2010.

Steven was born and raised in East Brunswick, New Jersey, and began his college career at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the men's varsity soccer team, a Bell Atlantic Scholar Athlete, and actively involved in student government. After transferring to the University of Florida, Steven consistently made the dean's list and honor roll and coached soccer at a local high school.

After graduating with honors with a degree in finance, Steven entered law school at the University of Florida, and, during that time, clerked for a Supreme Court judge in New York and interned at a prestigious firm in Orlando. Upon graduation, he began his legal career in the Miami office of a national law firm. In 2005 Steven and his wife moved to Boynton Beach, and he began working for one of the most prestigious plaintiff’s class action law firms in the country, representing defrauded individuals and institutional investors in complex litigation matters. Two years later, he decided it was time to try something new, and began working as an international legal recruiter. He is currently a practicing attorney and owner of a locally based international legal recruiting company.

Steven is a proponent of Boynton Beach’s historic preservation and revitalization of the downtown and eastern corridor. He is a member of the Historical Society of Boynton Beach and is an advocate for saving the 1926 Boynton Beach High School on Ocean Avenue.

Steven enjoys spending time with his friends and family, including his wife, Andee, and dog, Tenzin. He loves being outdoors, whether at the dog park, out in the ocean, or playing softball.
