Boynton Beach’s 4th Annual Toys for Tots Drive
November 1 – December 9, 2011

The Boynton Beach CRA is once again partnering with the Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County to ensure that every child receives a toy this holiday season! Participate by donating new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Donations may be made at the Boynton Beach City Library, Chamber of Commerce, Schoolhouse Children’s Museum and CRA. On December 9, U.S. Marines will make dockside donation pickups during Boynton & Delray Beach’s Annual Holiday Boat Parade.

Family activities kick-off at 5:00 PM with the city’s 41st Annual Holiday Parade traveling north on Federal Hwy from SE 12th Ave. to Ocean Ave. Immediately following, please enjoy the lighting of Boynton’s 50-foot holiday tree and Menorah displays, at the newly renovated Ocean Avenue Amphitheatre, and a FREE concert at 7:00 PM featuring Brass Transit, a Chicago Tribute Band.  No pets.

Boynton & Delray Beach’s Holiday Boat Parade

Join in the fun as the cities of Boynton and Delray Beach present their Annual Holiday Boat Parade. Festivities begin at 5:30 PM with live music, food & drinks and pictures with Santa at the Boynton Harbor Marina!  Parade of brightly-decorated boats begins at 6:30 PM, from the Boynton Beach Inlet to the C-15 canal in Delray Beach. Remember to help a child in need this holiday season! Please bring new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. No pets.

Citizens’ Police Academy accepting applications

The Boynton Beach Police Department is now accepting applications for the 33rd Class
of the Citizens’ Police Academy scheduled to begin on Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 through March 28th, 2012. Courses are held one night per week for ten consecutive
weeks and are free of charge to residents and business people of the City of Boynton Beach. Courses are held each Wednesday night (6:30 P.M. – 9:30 P.M.) for 10
consecutive weeks and are free of charge to residents and business leaders.
This course taught by Police Instructors, aims at educating participants on police
practice and the legal system as it pertains to police work.

Real ID Act

Real ID Act: After 9/11 Congress passed new anti-terrorism legislation called the "Real ID Act." This federal law requires every person to "prove" their identity for state issued drive licenses and ID cards.
