CRA TROLLEY
Supplementing the City's transportation services is the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency's fleet of classic trolleys. These trolleys, reminiscent of those found at the turn of the century, are crossing the 15.9 square miles of Boynton Beach. While it's been a long time since the "Barefoot Mailman" walked across the sandy shores of Boynton Beach, we feel he would be one of the first to climb aboard a CRA trolley today.

Highlights
Transportation … Affordable Service in Boynton Beach.

It's no secret that Americans love their automobiles.  It's also no secret that as we age, we slow down and experience a waning of reaction time and good eyesight.  There will come a time for each of us when we must let go of our freedom to drive for our safety and the safety of others and that time can take an emotional toll when the decision must be made to turn in our driver's licenses.

The Shopper Hopper is an important service of the City of Boynton Beach.  Our Recreation and Parks Department serves people of all ages and wants to help those who cannot drive to attend social & volunteer activities at the Senior Center, as well as give them opportunities to purchase their necessities at area stores.  Allowing people this opportunity helps them to remain vital and continue, if on a limited basis, the activities they were able to do when they were driving.  Local transportation opportunities are available to City residents to the following locations: City Library; the City's beach, Oceanfront Park; the K-Mart Shopping Plaza in Lantana; Sunshine Square Plaza; the Wal-Mart, Target and Shoppes of Boynton; and to Publix.

The base fare is $1.00 each way.  For seniors ages 62 and over, the fare will be of the base fare or .50 each way.  Transportation Services operates six days a week, Monday-Saturday. There is no service on Sundays or on city holidays.

For information regarding routes and schedules, contact Transportation Services, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 742-6590.
