Volunteers The Senior Center is always looking for volunteers who would like to help. Our volunteers are the backbone of our center. They help out in areas such as registration, classes, programs, special events and the Congregate Meal Program. Not only are they volunteers, they are participants at the Center. Each year, we thank our volunteers with an Awards Banquet. If you would like to be a volunteer, call Recreation Specialist Ann Forster at (561) 742-6570. All volunteers are required to go through a national background check.
A Nationally Accredited Senior Center On December 19, 2006, the National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) notified the Recreation and Parks Department that the Boynton Beach Senior Center was awarded national accreditation. At that time the City's Senior Center was one of the six senior centers in the state to achieve accreditation and the first in South Florida.
All recreation services, programs and facilities are open to all citizens regardless of race, sex, age, color, religion, national origin or disability. If special accommodations are needed, please call 561-742-6243.
