Debby develops, coordinates and manages the City's Art in Public Places Program. This position serves as liaison to the Arts Commission, City staff, developers, planners architects, artists, design professionals and larger community. Ms Coles-Dobay provides management and maintenance for the City's Public Art collections.

Art has been a constant throughout Debby's life. Raised in the New York metropolitan area offered her many cultural opportunities. Early on, she was involved in dance, painting and drawing. Throughout early education, Debby received many art awards and even was the recipient of an editorial write up for a public art mural.

After relocating to South Florida in the late seventies, and transferring from CUNY at Queens to Florida Atlantic University she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Debby's career started as a graphic artist for local newspapers and advertising agencies. It progressed into marketing consumer products to mass market. Her marketing skills contributed to the success of brands such as Banana Boat Sun Care, Flexitol, Kids Choice, Panama Jack and Motorola.  While managing her business, Creative Marketing Impact, Inc., Debby redirected her marketing talents to promote artists and Public Art.

When the opportunity to establish an Arts Commission for the City of Boynton Beach presented itself, Ms Coles-Dobay devoted two years of volunteer time to spearhead the implementation of an Art in Public Places Program. The program was accepted and it's funding mechanism, Public Art ordinance, was adopted in October 2005.  Under the encouragement of several art and business associates, Debby became the first Public Art Administrator for the City of Boynton Beach.  "It's exciting to provide leadership to a new program that is designed to enrich the community and stimulate economic growth through Public Art" states Debby " I look forward to serving the community and the CIty".
