Public Art Exhibits
The City of Boynton Beach Art in Public Places program is hosting exhibitions that showcase artwork by emerging and professional artists encompassing a variety of mediums. Facilities in Boynton Beach that have interior public space will feature original artwork to link artists with the community and provide the public with an opportunity to gain knowledge and appreciation of artistic excellence.
Hispanic Heritage Exhibit June 2010 - September 2010 City Library Art Exhibit
An exhibit in the City Library showcases artwork that reflects Hispanic artists culture and heritage. The exhibit will be a highlight in September for the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.

Sims Center “Portraits” Exhibit July 2010 - January 2011 Sims Center at Wilson Park
The Sims Center exhibit features portraits as interpreted by the artists. A diverse collection of artworks from paintings and photographs to mixed media and tiles are included in the exhibit.

"Textures" Civic Center Exhibit July 2010 to July 2011 Civic Center
The public is invited to experience artwork that features a tactile quality and celebrates sensory sensations. A diverse collection of artwork that has textural finishes, surfaces, grains, qualities and consistencies is on display in the City’s Civic Center. Is the artwork smooth, rough, pitted, soft, hard or squishy? Does it have grooves or gouges, is it smooth or polished or rustic and worn? Visual texture is the illusion of having physical texture.
This exhibit will coordinate with the upcoming Avenue of the Arts year long “Textures” outdoor exhibit. The Avenue of the Arts will be installed late September 2010.
