REQUEST for MURAL CONCEPTS for CRA BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT

PROJECT: CRA Beautification Project. "Postcards from Boynton"

THEME: "POSTCARDS FROM BOYNTON" Simple, colorful Florida related fauna and flora, marine, nautical, tropical flowers, sunsets, sunrises, tropical trees, birds, animals. Could be similar to the kitchy tourists postcards from the 50's & 60's. Images MUST be simple to have visual impact.

PURPOSE: To beautify exposed dumpsters within the Boynton Beach Community
Redevelopment Agency's district by painting murals on them.

CALL FOR PUBLIC ART

PROJECT:  Boynton Beach Carolyn Sims Center on loan artwork exhibit

THEME: Artwork appealing to all ages that depicts tropical and ethnic diversity.

PURPOSE: The City of Boynton Beach Art in Public Places program is hosting exhibitions that showcase artwork by emerging and professional artists encompassing a variety of mediums. A new facility in Boynton Beach called the Carolyn Sims Center at Wilson Park has made available its interior space to feature original artwork that will link artists with the community and provide the public with an opportunity to gain knowledge and appreciation of artistic excellence.

DEADLINE: CLOSED

TIMEFRAME: EXHIBITION April 7th - October 7th, 2008

LOCATION: Sims Center at Wilson Park

Hours Open: Monday through Friday 12 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
