Arts Commission Chair Barbara Ready moved to Boynton Beach in 1974 and met and married Gordon Ready. She worked in banking for 7 years, until motherhood set in, and chronic volunteerism began.

She served 16 years on PTA Boards with 10 years as President; and 16 years on School Im-provement Committees, with 6 years as Chairperson.

In between the school committees, Barbara served 2 years on the City of Boynton Education Advisory Board, and 8 years on the East Boynton Little League Board. As Team Parent Coor-dinator, concession stand operations, and coaching her daughter's fast pitch softball teams, Barbara retired with an EBLL honor and lifetime board member status.

Barbara delivers her expertise in organization and meeting management, volunteer coordination, and event planning to the Arts Commission.
