High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in automotive mechanics; supplemented by one (1) year previous experience and/or training involving automotive electronics, automotive repair/maintenance, and welding/fabrication; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training in building plans review or building construction; supplemented by five (5) years previous experience and/or training involving building plans review or building construction; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid State of Florida Plans Examiner Certification in one of the following disciplines: Building, Plumbing, Mechanical or Electrical and meet the requirements of FS 468 to obtain a provisional license in a second discipline. Must obtain Standard Plans Examiner License in the second discipline within 1 year of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. Those employees who are hired under Florida State DBPR Provisional License must obtain a Standard License within the time limits set by Florida Statute 468. MULTI - DISCIPLINE BUILDING FIELD INSPECTOR - #07-080-$46, 534yr High school diploma or GED; supplemented by vocational/technical training which includes a combination of two (2) or more of the following: vocational/technical training in building construction trades and building inspection; supplemented by five (5) years previous experience and/or training that includes building construction and building inspection; technical training which includes an electrical apprenticeship; supplemented by five (5) years previous experience and/or training as a journeyman electrician or electrical inspector; a plumbing apprenticeship; supplemented by five (5) years previous experience and/or training that includes installation, maintenance, and inspection of plumbing and mechanical systems; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain valid State of Florida Standard Inspector License in any one of the following categories: Building, Plumbing, Mechanical or Electrical per Florida Statute 468 AND must meet the requirements from FS 468 for work experience and be eligible for provisional licensure in a second discipline. Must obtain Standard Inspector License in the second discipline within 1 year of employment. Must possess and maintain a valid Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical Journeyman License. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver's license. Those employees who are hired under Florida State DBPR Provisional License must obtain a Standard License within the time limits set by Florida Statute 468.
