Automated Permitting System

The City of Boynton Beach, Building division, is pleased to provide a new automated system that gives customers convenient access to permitting, inspection, and plan review options.
Through the automated permitting system, customers are able to:
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel inspections View permit status View plan check status, including review steps Check inspection results
The system is available 24/7 and can be accessed online through any City page under "Online Services" or by calling the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system at (561) 742-6355.
Inspection requests have to be completed by 5:00pm to be scheduled the next business day.

Q: The automated system asks for a PIN in order to schedule inspections. How do I get one? A: A permit PIN is created when the permit is issued. The permit PIN is located on the permit card, handwritten on the User's Guide, and also on the yellow card issued at permit intake. You can also call the Building division at (561) 742-6350 during regular operating hours for someone to look up your PIN number.
Q: I lost my PIN. How do I get another one? A: If you lose the materials that have your PIN or the permit card is not accessible to you, you can contact the Building Division at (561) 742-6350 during regular operating hours or stop by the West Wing at City Hall.
Q: The system allows me to choose AM or PM, but can I request a specific inspection time? A: Special requests for inspections must be directed to the Field Inspector assigned to your particular job. Assignments are distributed the morning of the inspection, so for special time requests, please call the Building Division at (561) 742-6350 between 7:30 AM and 8:30 AM the day of the inspection. Although Inspectors will try to accommodate any special requests, the time of inspection cannot be not guaranteed.
Q: The system does not give me the option to schedule inspections even though I have a permit. What should I do? A: If a permit has been issued and you are able to get into the automated permitting system, but not schedule inspections, please contact the Building Division at (561) 742-6350 during regular operating hours.
Q: Why do I get an error message stating "permit has been closed or never issued" when I try to schedule an inspection? A: That message appears when an attempt is made to schedule inspections after the permit has been closed or prior to permit issuance. Inspections can only be scheduled after the permit is issued.
Q: How many days in advance can an inspection be scheduled? A: Inspections can be scheduled in advance up to a maximum of two business days.
Q: Can I schedule multiple inspections? A: The system will only allow additional inspections to be scheduled once the original inspection has been completed and approved.
