  • Foster community and citizen involvement in the development and carrying out of our local plan
  • Conduct a public green event; enhance the local green market activities with greater green business participation.
  • Develop and implement a coordinated energy education and public outreach program as well as a training program for local businesses

Highlights

Department of Energy Awards $250,000 for Energy Efficiency Conservation Strategy


The City of Boynton Beach received $250,000 from the original $658,900 allotment from DOE to hire a consultant that will write an Energy Efficiency Conservation Strategy for the City, as well as complete the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory and assist with the long-term Climate Action Plan.  On Oct. 6th the City Commission approved Camp Dresser & McKee (CDM) as the consultant for the project.  The remaining allotted funds have been awarded by the DOE for an energy effiency retrofit of the Ezell Hester Jr. Community Center
