Special Notice: TIRE AMNESTY WEEK , JUNE 2-6, 2014

Tire Amnesty Week will be held during the week of June 2nd through June 6th.  During that week residents may place at the curb up to eight (8) car and/or passenger tires (with or without rims) for pick up.  The tires will be picked up on the scheduled bulk trash day in your neighborhood.  Tires must be placed at the edge of the road at least three feet away from your garbage cart and any other fixtures, such as telephone poles, mailboxes, etc.  Please keep tires and vegetation separated.

Services:

A division of the Public Works department, Solid Waste Division provides refuse and recycling pick up for the residents and commercial properties located throughout the City of Boynton Beach.  Keeping our community clean is an important responsibility of both city employees and homeowners.  We are providing you with this information so you will be better informed about certain rules pertaining to garbage collection and recycling in your area. 

Residential Garbage: Household garbage is collected from every resident in the City twice each week.  The charge for residential refuse service is $14.00 per month and is included in the monthly water/sewer bill.  In addition weekly pickup of bulk trash, recycling, and vegetation is provided.  For the Garbage guidelines, please click on the link above and download.

Multi-Family Garbage: Household garbage is also collected from multi-family residents twice each week.  The charge for multi-family refuse service is $10.75/unit per month and is included in the monthly water/sewer bill and is billed to the property owner.  Bulk trash and recycling are also picked up weekly at multi-family dwellings. 

Commercial Garbage: In addition to residential refuse service the division also provides refuse and recycling pickup for all commercial establishments located in the City ofBoynton Beachfor a monthly fee.  Roll-off and compactor pickup is also available to businesses, contractors and residents.  For a list of the Commercial Rates, please click Solid Waste Rates.

Roll-Off / Compactor: According to the City Ordinance Sec. 10-26, only the City of Boynton Beach can provide Roll-Off and Compactor service within the City limits.  This service is available to businesses, contractors and residents.  Any questions regarding Roll-Off or Compactor service, please call (561) 742-6200 or to request Roll-off service, please complete the Roll-off Request form above and drop it off at the Public Works Office or fax it to us at (561) 742-6211.

Solid Waste – Code Enforcement: According to the City Ordinances, (Chapter 10: Garbage, Trash and Offensive Conditions), and in an effort to keep the City of Boynton Beach looking clean, the division is responsible for citing residents or commercial properties for refuse violations.  The Code Compliance officer checks the routes and issues Code Violations.

Tire Amnesty Days: The Solid Waste Division offers Tire Amnesty Days yearly during the first week of June.  Residents may put up to eight (8) car and passenger truck vehicle tires (with or without rims) at the curb for pickup.  The tires will be picked up on the scheduled bulk trash day in your neighborhood. 

On Amnesty Days, please place tires at the edge of the road at least three (3) feet away from your garbage cart and any other fixtures, such as telephone poles, mailboxes, etc.  Items for collection can be placed at the edge of the road after 6:00 PM the day before pickup or by 6:00 AM on the pick up day. 

Hurricane Debris:
