Junior Lifeguard Academy
Kids can learn to save lives this summer! Leadership and essential lifeguarding skills as well as CPR and First Aid will be taught. Includes classwork and in-water and land skill drills. Ages 10-14. Two 4-week sessions. See theflyer for complete details.
Hula Surf and Paddle School offers one of the most comprehensive and educational surf and ocean safety camps in the area. Their mission is to educate children on basic ocean safety, respecting our beaches and each other, marine life, and of course, surfing! Learn to surf and refine your surfing skills. Instructors are first aid and CPR certified and their enthusiasm in the water will ensure a great time! All equipment, including surfboards, is included. Participants must know how to swim. Wear a royal blue rash guard (or you can purchase one at camp for $20), board shorts and sunscreen. 1:7 ratio. Register online at https://campsself.active.com/HulaSurfSchool.
The City of Boynton Beach offers a great day camp program this summer at five convenient locations packed with a variety of experiences and field trips. Children, ages 4-14, will have loads of fun enjoying sports, crafts and play during their summer break. Camps are held Monday-Friday from June 12 through August 4. Each camp has its own personality and feel, and one will be just right for your child! Children can pack a snack; lunch is provided through a special grant funded program at most sites and breakfast is provided at Camp Shining Stars and Camp Dolphins.
All registration for summer camps must be done in person or by mail. The registration fee and 50% payment is due at the time of registration; balances are due by April 15. Registration takes place at Intracoastal Park Clubhouse, 2240 N. Federal Highway. Registration hours are Tuesday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Proof of residency is required each year and a copy of the child's birth certificate is required for new participants. If your child has a disability, impairment or condition that requires medication or other accommodations, please inform the City of Boynton Beach Recreation and Parks Department of your child's needs before the program begins to ensure that the Department is prepared to address those needs. Once parent/guardian submits a modifications request, the Department will consider on a case-by-case basis and will attempt to accommodate your child within a reasonable amount of time.
