Go Green! - Public Art
Contributes to the City’s Green Initiatives
The Art in Public Places Program supports the Climate Action Plan implementation strategies by encouraging creative thinking when public art is included in “Green Projects.” Eco Art and Environmental Art can educate by demonstrating green technologies. Public art can become highly visible when integrated within a project's infrastructure, architecture or environment. The art highlights the green technology and can provide marketing benefits. Public Art often contributes to a project's goal in a functional way by adding “Green Certification” benefits such as LEED points for fulfilling educational and demonstrative requirements. The public art process engages the community.
