Hurricane Notice: Library Hours

The Library will close at 6:30pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.  

The following programs are available at the Boynton Beach City Library. Programs are free and open to the public. The Library is located at 208 S. Seacrest Blvd. For more information, the public is invited to call 561.742.6390.

Children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or chaperone at all times while in the Library. Groups of five (5) or more must pre-register.

Mad Libs:  Tuesday, September 5 @ 5:30—6:30 pm
Play Mad Libs, with a wacky fun take on the hilarious game! Can you keep from laughing when they are read out loud? Your team depends on you! Grades 6—12. Room:  YPR

Teen Gaming:  Wednesday, September 6, 13, 20, & 27 @ 5—6:30 pm
Play board and videogames using a Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4 or Xbox 360 with plenty of games. Grades 6—12. Room:  YPR

Tween Tech Time:  Thursday, September 7 @ 5:30—6:30 pm
Middle school students, it’s your turn to experience the Virtual Zone. Bring your favorite books to make book reviews for BookTube or learn how to make beats on GarageBand. Grades 5—8. Room:  YSA

No Filter—Teen Group:  Monday, September 11, 18 & 25 @ 5:30-6:30 pm
Keep it real with the new teen Americorps member and talk about issues that matter to you and your friends! Topics and activities change each week, but snacks and fun are always served. Grades 8—12. Room:  YPR

Duct Tape Craft!:  Thursday,  September 14 @  5:30—7 pm
Start the new school year with duct tape crafts to help you get organized! Grades 6—12. Room:  YPR

Hispanic Heritage Month Movie Night:  Tuesday,  September 19 @  5:30—7 pm
September is Hispanic Heritage Month! Watch short films, curated by Remezcala, that celebrate the Latin experience in America and vote for your favorite. Grades 6—12. Room:  YPR

Get Loud! Youth Voices Matter:  Thursday, September 21 @ 5:30—7 pm
Learning how to be heard can be hard, but your voice matters! Learn tips and skills on how to make your voice count. Writing to your representative, no matter your political views, can be the first step. Snacks will be served. This is the first in a series of youth civic engagement programs. Grades 6—12. Room:  YPR

Teen Book Discussion:  Thursday, September 28 @ 6—7 pm
The teen book discussion group will chat about the hottest books for young adults. Register in Youth Services to find out
