Boynton Beach Incentives & Programs
The Division of Economic Development offers an array of incentives and business development programs in partnership with various departments and agencies to assist entrepreneurs in starting and growing businesses in Boynton Beach.
The Commercial Rent Subsidy Program offers financial assistance to commercial and industrial businesses in the form of rent payment reimbursement for up to half of the business’s monthly rent, or $1,000.00 per month, whichever is less. The time period of eligibility for assistance is up to twelve months within the first eighteen months of a multi-year lease. The maximum total reimbursement per business is $12,000.
The Commercial Interior Build-Out Assistance Program provides matching grant funds for commercial and industrial businesses to offset build-out or renovation costs up to a maximum of $15,000.
Funding from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is also available on a case-by-case basis to businesses supporting the creation or retention of jobs and/or providing a significant economic benefit. The Energy Edge Rebate Program (pdf) seeks to increase the energy efficiency of existing small businesses by supplying rebates for the purchase and installation of approved energy efficient improvement items. For further information, visit Energy Edge program page.
The Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program provides upfront capital to property owners to invest in energy-efficiency, renewable energy or wind-resistance improvements to their property. Visit their web site to find out more about the program: http://floridagreenenergyworks.com/
The Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) also offers incentives for businesses seeking to locate or expand within its geographic boundaries. Please note, in some cases businesses may not be able to apply to both the City of Boynton Beach and the CRA under the same category of economic development incentive programs.
